The first attempt to build airplanes in series, in Romania, took place in 1911, when the Ministry of War of those days has ordered to the Workshops of the Piloting School at Chitila, close to Bucharest (founded in 1910), to build under license, four Farman airplaines; other four planes of the same type were to be build the next year in the workshops of the Military Piloting School at Cotroceni, Bucharest. During the I-st World War, the specialists of this center - moved to Iasi under the name of the Aircraft General Reserve (A.G.R.) - have repaired and reconditioned 292 fighting planes and 545 purchased engines.
Scopul acestei rubrici este de a informa vizitatorii noştri de apariţia, în decursul timpului, a unor cărţi cu subiect aviatic. Vom încerca totodată să oferim în acest cadru toate detaliile pe care le deţinem pentru procurarea acestor titluri, însă nu ne implicăm în (nu intermediem) comercializarea cărţilor prezentate.
